Sri lankan restaurant at Bur Dubai
Last week Yusri, Muba, Ashoke & I myself went for a small purchase because Ashoke was terminated from ETA. Yusri used to tell me that there is a Sri Lankan restaurant where he used to have dinner with his friend. So this time we got a chance and we move to that restaurant. It’s located behind Vasantham restaurant, name called Aralya restaurant. As it’s a Lankan restaurant we gave the ordering option to Yusri itself.
He ordered hoppers with katta sambol, kothu roti, rotis with katta sambol & elephant house ginger bear (it’s a Sri Lankan brand). The food was so spicy that myself & muba were not able tolerate it but the taste was really good.
Finishing touch of my dinner was with a cup of sugar in hand.

I’ve had Sri Lankan food once or twice. I like spicy food so I just loved the Lankan food. The taste is also quite unique. I like the fish and Idyappam (sort of a net like steamed rice pancake). They have all types of sambal (a paste of different variety of spices, coconut etc) which taste amazing. I havent cooked Lankan food before. I am planning to try my hand at a few dishes. Anyone ready to come try it?
